Quality and proficiency testing
How the department demonstrates the reliability of its results.
Reliable results depend on qualified people, validated methods and independent checks. The department:
- Takes part in international proficiency testing;
- Trains its scientists at internationally recognised institutions and under bodies such as the OPCW and VERIFIN;
- Provides technical expertise to the Kenya National Accreditation Service (KENAS) in ISO assessments;
- Coordinates customer satisfaction surveys.
